At some point you may start wondering why don’t we move forward quicker with the Nanohabits™. While most of us have multiple new habits we’d like to develop, all at once, trying to create too many habits at once is a certain method to fail.
Each change we make in our daily life takes much more energy and space than we realize. In the beginning, we have a lot of enthusiasm for new Nanohabits and they seem ridiculously easy. But creating new habits is harder than we think. Something unexpected comes up and we don’t have time for our new habit. Or we are too busy or too tired. Soon we’ve forgotten our new habit.
***We need repetitions. On average, it takes 66 days to form a new habit. We need to let go of the idea of doing everything at once. It’s impossible. Instead, we need to focus on repeating 1-2 new Nanohabits until they become ingrained in our behavioral DNA. Then we will have the time and space to develop our next Nanohabit.
